Be very careful, the items that are sold make many spurious claims of provenance. There are reproduction pcs that are not sold in one auction, taken back then prematurely aged and rebranded in the next auction, case in point. Beware there seem to be as many modified period pcs and products made to look authentic as there are authentic. As auction houses are purveyors in the arts and antiquities these knowingly fraudulent products should be listed as such so that both their credibility and the wholeness of the buyer are held to standard.

It was a pleasure to do business with Alexander Historical Auctions. Very fast shipping and the item was packaged immaculately and securely to protect against damage while in transit. I will be more than happy to do business with them again.

My last purchase had a 30 % premium! It was disclosed but much higher than the 20-25 % I pay at other auctions

Shipping is slow, along with getting status updates and tracking information. Not just this auction but all are like this. Sometimes you feel like you could walk across the country pick it up and be home before they would ever ship it. Shipping turn around needs improvement.

The Yellow Submarine was not attached to the base. You could see where the break is. I'll try crazy on it to see if that works. It was a fragile piece that probably broke off during shipping. Not Alexander's fault. That's my only beef. No big deal.

Shipping a little high.

The item was not as stated but when you buy from a auction without seeing in person you run the risk is not a Revolutionary sword.. much less American its Danish I should have requested for pictures of markings the sec I saw the markings I knew it was Danish: (
