Item Details
Description
So-called “killing club” as these were used to maintain order and discipline within the ranks. Short thick proportions with large bulbous head. 19” length. The head with radial checks and opened crack as typical as these were carved of unseasoned wood. Warrior training was strenuous and brutal. It is said that a Zulu warrior could run all night then fight all day. Slackers were eliminated on the spot with the killing club as a lesson to the others and set a standard.
