Item Details
Description
Western Europe pr Eastern US, last quarter 19th century to first quarter 20th century. Lovely two-part lamp that once burned whale oil to create its soft light to brighten a parlor, electrified in the middle of the 20th century. Lower section painted in browns, white and rose with a winter scene of what is probably a New England countryside. Top globe painted in lighter colors with trees showing new buds against a light pink background. Brass over iron feet and original wick adjustment mechanism completes the look. Lovely! Size: 10.5" W x 26.5" H (26.7 cm x 67.3 cm)
