Description
A framed limited edition animation cel for the 1937 Walt Disney animated short film Don Donald, which marks the first screen appearance of Daisy Duck. Released by The Walt Disney Company, the artwork shows Donald trying to impress Donna Duck with a "flashy red roadster". To achieve the limited edition cels, Disney artists inked the original animation drawings and transferred it onto acetate cels, and then hand-painted the artwork using Disney-created acrylic colours. The printed background on high quality paper was also recreated using the original paintings, sketches, and frames as reference. This example was one of 500 editions created, with this example being numbered "312/500" and bearing a Walt Disney Company seal in the lower right corner. It comes mounted within a metal frame with plexiglass and features a hanging wire on the reverse.
