Regency House was great! As a first time purchaser, I was nervous about making shipping arrangements, but Regency sends you a list of shippers and this helped tons, their office staff was pleasant and answered all of my newbie questions without making me feel stupid. Plycon Shipping is excellent BTW. Their bid came in on the lower end my chair arrived in excellent condition (shipped from NJ to UT) Thanks so much!!

This was my first experience with Regency and I was surprised how easy the whole was.

As someone who lives outside the New Jersey area, I needed a more detailed explanation as to how I would have it shipped. It took me awhile to realize that there was a system to have it shipped by a private shipper associated w Regency. When I figured that out I had no problem paying this shipper, although it was a bit overpriced for the item I won.

Alan, Ryan and Allison are very helpful to me all the time. I will continue to do business with them.

I bought a mah jong set that is a tile short. It's missing the 9 Crak tile. The problem is that the photos of the set didn't include photos of all of the tiles. If the photos showed the contents of all the drawers I could have counted them and known that one was missing. I won't buy again on blind faith that a set is complete without photos. Susan

Shipping took a while, and the options were expensive for a very small painting. This is third party to Regency. They were wonderful, and the shipping also was safe and professional, just (again) lengthy and expensive comparatively.

Overall we had a very enjoyable experience interacting with this auction house. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I do wish they offered more detailed descriptions of the items. One item I bought was filled with mold, and that was never mentioned in the description. I had to clean it extensively. That ‚ Ä ô s my only criticism. Otherwise I ‚ Ä ô m very happy.

The people at Regency have been quite helpful and friendly. If an error was made even when it was not their fault, they were very apologetic and did everything possible to correct the situation. I spoke with a gentleman there the other day and he was very helpful but, unfortunately, I do not know his name. I do know Robin Reuther's name and, over the past months, she has been extremely helpful and nonjudgmental when the error was on my end. I would highlt recommend Regency Auctions.

They default to a preferred shipper who is very expensive and aggressive. You have to move fast to find an alternate shipper.

The posted photos were unclear on the condition of the cushion on settee... cushion very dirty and has pen mark on silk part!-settee also came damaged on back side, would have appreciated them guiding the movers so this would not happen. They also did not accept Paypal which is best and secure for a consumer.

Regency have been the sweetest, most professional, easiest auction house to work with. I’ve dealt with them for my first two ever auctions and there couldn’t have been a more endearing option.

Buyer beware. This auction house, and many auction houses and many others are abusing the internet. I have been buying at auction for over six years as a dealer. I have seen a HGE degradation in the honesty of the condition and the photos. They are all trying to take advantage of buyers by presenting the best photos, that are half truths and not clearly explaining condition. In addition, many require you to request a condition report. Some "high-end" auction houses such as Wright and Rago are doing this. Live Auctioneers has been a facilitator. You have lowered your standards. Eventually people will lose trust and not use you.
