Auction house did not disclose full condition issues. Item we purchased. Item! Arrived with significant repairs and restoration. Spoke with Sean abell and he did not want to do anything about it. Stated as is. Dishonest selling practice... buy with caution from this auction house

This is the only auction house I've done business with who held the item for 10 business days after I paid (with a credit ). They said it was to prevent them from being defrauded. Apart from having to wait, everything went very well.

Shipping list has only ONE shipper for small items. It's terrible, this shipper charges whatever he wants because he knows there is no competition and he can take advantage of us, customers. Very bad.

I used one of your approved shippers, Paddy Wagon?. they gave me a quote and then changed it to $615. The painting was sent to the wrong address, it was broken, etc. the crate was falling apart when I finally got it. At least the painting was not hurt, but the frame requires major work. A very, very, poor supplier. Richard

Auction requires a 10-day hold on credit card payments. I'm not a fan of that.

I would have liked to receive confirmation of payment once it was received (I paid via wire transfer). I had to call to check, the person on the phone was helpful though.

Should provide condition reports and bp between the house and live auctioneers should be equal. I overpaid b/c I bid via live auctioneers.

I received the books after one month !!!) and they are incomplete, missing more of 200 prints... I asked before and the answer was that the books are complete! TOO BAD! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

I bid on three items very quickly and was told that my bid was being sent, however it then immediately said SOLD, without ever taking my bid. It was as if the auction house was in a big hurry to get it over with and couldn't care less about accepting all bids.

Waiting ten days after credit card payment made no sense to me. No one else does anything like that. I think I paid double what it would have cost me at any other auction house to ship it. The person at UPS would not listen to my instructions and did what he wanted to despite my request for lower cost options. I want different and better shipping options.

I had not been to the auction house for some time. I live locally so I would pick up as opposed to having any item shipped. After the item was paid for, I used to take the paperwork to the warehouse and present it to a warehouseman. He would fetch the item and bring it to the packing table. This time things have changed. I had to wait in the payment area and the item was brought to me there, having walked it thru the payment office and handed to me in the waiting room, and I had to carry it myself to the packing area (it was a slightly heavy vase). I think the process is somewhat more complicated this time. Perhaps the auction house had a reason for changing the procedure, but for someone familiar with the 'old ways', it seemed a little disconcerting.

They were great. Delighted.

They missed a bid that I made, which I made early and very quickly. It said that it was sending the bid and then immediately it said SOLD to another bidder. They never even waited 1 second for another bid or said last call. Very disappointing.

I had asked repeatedly via email for a copy of the paid receipt. I found it in the delivered package when the won lots arrived. I suspect that they were so busy they did not have bandwidth to reply instead just including the paid receipt with the shipment.

No condition report in the auction record. A reputable auction house should have had condition report in the auction record.
