Description

WIlliam Henry Chandler (American, 1854-1928). Pastel on paper, depicting a generic harbor scene. Chandler was the 1890s-1900s equivalent of a popular commercial artist, starting a company with several artists in his employ and selling original pastels nationwide, usually through department stores and other such outlets. Signed l.l. 10" x 28" (sight), 14.5" x 32" (framed).

Condition

Some light rubbing off of pastel.
