Antique English Crested Stoneware Water Cooler Jug

Item Details

Description

An antique 19th-century English stoneware jug attributed to Manor Pottery, Eccleshill, Bradford, England, circa 1850. Hand-thrown and salt-glazed, this impressive and stately jug bears an English coat of arms crest featuring a standing lion and unicorn with a royal crown at its center. Both right and left sides bear an iconic seated lion indicative of English wares and finery. Intact with its original corked spigot spout marked "Loutus, London."

Dimensions: 15 X 13 X 13 in.

Condition: Good to fair overall condition. Small chip to upper rim produced during production known due to coloration. Estate fresh to the market.
