Description
A scarce poster promoting three Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead concerts at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco on March 15th, 16th and 17th, 1968. Several bands, including Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead, funded the Carousel Ballroom venue. However, this venture was quickly short-lived, and after six months, the location was eventually taken over by concert promoter Bill Graham, who changed the venue's name to Fillmore West. American artist Alton Kelley, one of the five renowned psychedelic concert poster artists from the 1960s, created this sore thumb design. Kelley has signed the bottom right corner in pencil.
