A diamond and gemstone set dragonfly brooch, c.1890, the body consisting in a line of rub set oval cut rubies, into a sapphire set abdomen and emerald eyes. Two pairs of wings set throughout with graduated old cut and rose cut diamonds, in openwork silver mounts backed in gold. ‘C’ catch, pin and safety chain. Condition Report: General tarnish and pits to the gold mount.Moderate abrasion to the emeralds.Rubies all present and well-matched.
