A silver plated desk and seal set, each piece bearing the arms of the town of Ypres, within fitted, velvet lined case, bearing hand written note 'With Best Wishes from Jack BOF France' Note: This set was given to the current vendors grandfather serving with the 5th Warwickshire Regiment during the First World War. He was injured on the first day of the battle of the Somme and was repatriated with severe wounds. His dear friend, Jack Rickard, also serving in the same regiment sent him the writing set (embossed with Ypres - a site of three major battles) as a get well wish whilst he recovered from his wounds (leg amputation) in England.
