1785 Dated Post American Rev War Personalized Table Spoon Sterling / Coin Silver Spoon. Spoon may be earlier than 1785 (1770s) as in may cases pieces were engraved at a later date. Hallmarked and fully engraved stem, with owner initials M.E.H. The underside of the spoon bowl and stem have beautiful hand engraved floral and leaf images. Maker touch mark JCD ,ICD ,LCD or TCD with a second touch mark that may be a figure or animal? This spoon came from a Boston Massachusetts estate that was purchased in 1982. This piece is worthy of further research. Weight 45.7 grams 1.61 ounces length is 7 7/8 in. Width is 1 5/8 inches.
