Qing Dynasty, hammered-on-cast, inlaid gold and silver, lion-head ear drum-shaped furnace with auspicious lions offering auspicious patterns[Specifications] Height 27cm, diameter 16cm, belly diameter 20cm, ear distance 24.5cm, weight 3.4 kg[Inscription] Made in the Qianlong period[Details]The lid is bulging with a double dragon playing with a pearl, with a dragon button in the center, fine scales and surrounded by cloud patterns, magnificent and imposing. The body is drum-shaped, with a flat mouth, a round and bulging belly, a deep and steep inner chamber, and three animal feet on the bottom, which is stable and solid. The mouth and shank are decorated with drum nail patterns around the whole circle, and the drum nails are uniform in size and neat and orderly. The shoulders are mortised with double lion head ears on both sides, with the lions' eyes wide open, wide noses and big mouths, and curly manes, with clear and orderly layers, and awe-inspiring. The furnace body is decorated with the relief technique of reduced ground, and decorated with auspicious lions offering auspicious patterns, which are realistic and vivid. The lions are of different shapes, majestic and lifelike, and the auspicious cloud patterns are dotted in between, which are quiet and elegant. This vessel is made of finely hammered copper. The copper is pure, with graceful and lively lines. It is inlaid with gold and silver and has a precious luster. When placed in an elegant study room, it has a sense of antiquity.
